 PRICE: $1244.00 Aviacom has created the most advanced AAD on the market today. The Argus offers 4 modes: Standard, Novice, Tandem, and Swoop. The battery is a standard replacable CR123A you can find at your local pharmacy, photo, or hardware store. Firing Altitude and Rate of Descent Standard: 820ft (250 meters) at a fall rate of 78 mph (35 m/sec) Novice: 984 feet (300 meters) at a fall rate of 45 mph (20m/sec) Tandem: 2165 feet (660 meters) at a fall rate of 78 mph (35 m/sec) Swoop: 820ft (250 meters) at a fall rate of 78 mph (35 m/sec) The Swoop mode is unique to the Argus AAD. In this mode the unit will not rearm and fire if you choose to perform a high performance turn that reaches or exceeds the firing parameters. Of course the Argus is also water and dust resistant meeting IP67 standard. It can be submerged under 3 feet of water for 30 minutes without being compromised. The unit is gauaranteed to last 12 years and can stay in service as long as it continues to pass a 4-year check. This inspection can be done by any rigger with the proper equipment unlike other units that require weeks or months to be sent to a single authorized facility. |
